On the afternoon of March 18, Liu Guangqiang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Deyang Municipal Committee and Mayor of Deyang, led a team to Mianzhu to learn about the construction of the chemical industrial parks. He stressed the need to vigorously promote the development of emerging industrial clusters, strengthen the comprehensive utilization of resources, achieve green and sustainable development, strive to cultivate new economic growth points, and start a new journey with a hardworking attitude.

Liu Guangqiang first listened to the brief on the construction of the Xinshi Chemical Industrial Park and the Deyang-Aba Industrial Park, and understood the general plan for the industrial layout and the detailed plan for the expansion of the park. He emphasized that, this year, Deyang will continue to implement the strategy of “strengthening the city through industry”, and promote the quality and production of the “3+1” leading industries of machinery and equipment, material chemical industry, food and beverage, and the digital economy. Mianzhu’s two industrial parks should strive to promote the development of emerging industrial clusters based on the industrial positioning to form industrial clusters with concentrated scale, strong strength, and outstanding advantages, continuously improve the industrial space of the parks, strive to cultivate new economic growth points, and create a new highland for industrial clusters’ development to contribute to the development of modern industrial system.

At the site of the Lomon New Material Phosphogypsum Quality Improvement and Efficiency Enhancement Project, after catching on to the transformation of increasing the added value of phosphogypsum products, Liu Guangqiang pointed out that continuous technological breakthroughs are needed to produce differentiated and high-end gypsum building materials, and to embark on a path of resource utilization and green sustainable development.

At the site of the industrialization project of high-dispersion ultrafine silver powder for conductive silver paste constructed by the DEC Academy of Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Liu Guangqiang learned about the enterprise’s production operation, product research and development, and market expansion. He highly appreciated the project’s ability to achieve domestic replacement of high-dispersion ultrafine silver powder and encouraged the company to continuously strengthen independent innovation, break through “bottleneck” technologies, accelerate the industrialization of achievements, and achieve high-quality development.

Sichuan Energy Investment Deyang-Aba Lithium Co., Ltd.’s lithium salt project with an annual output of 30,000 tons is not only a provincial key construction project in 2023 and 2024, but also a key construction project in Deyang. Currently, the front area of the project (including the office building and staff service center) has been put into use, the storage area is expected to be put into use by the end of May, the equipment in the production equipment area is expected to be kiln-dried by the end of June, mechanical completion is expected by the end of August, and trial production will begin in September. At the project site, Liu Guangqiang learned more details about the enterprise’s strategic layout, the progress of the construction of the lithium salt project with annual production of 30,000 tons, and the next step of industrial planning. He pointed out the need to solidly and compliantly promote project construction, ensure the project is completed as scheduled, and successfully meet standards and production, contributing to the coordinated economic development of Aba and Deyang.

Finally, Liu Guangqiang visited the resettlement site of the New Materials Chemical Industrial Park to learn about the difficulties and problems in the project construction and the measures to accelerate the progress. He emphasized that it was important to adhere to the people-centered development philosophy, plan scientifically, construct carefully, and make every effort to create a beautiful home for the people.
